Kudos, Compliments and Rave Reviews
for the Lions Inn bed and breakfast in New Orleans

Sometimes B&B owners enjoy the praises of our guests so much, that we are compelled to see them in print and to share them with the world!

Perhaps it's "vanity" to provide much needed strokes to our egos, and perhaps it's a "marketing tool" to intice potential travelers to give us the opportunity to enhance their vacation/holiday experience.

Whatever the reason, it's certainly nice to discover how loved we are!

Gorgeous rooms, garden, pool, super hospitality! My first time staying here. I was delayed, I'd missed my connection in NYC, and phoned to say I'd be late - and was met with calm assurance, "no problem!".
Stuart and Floyd were extremely helpful and a pleasure to stay with. Rooms are spotless, and the pool/courtyard/hottub are tranquil. While its nearly a mile walk to the heart of the French Quarter, there are bikes on location [at the Inn] you can borrow if you don't feel like walking - a nice touch.
Highly reccommend this B&B and I look forward to my next visit." -- Boston, MA

Fell in LOVE with the Lions Inn! Our stay at the Lion's Inn was excellent! The hosts are wonderful company (Floyd, you're the best)! The decor is simply stimulating! The bed in room B was amazingly comfortable!! The pool area is a little bit of heaven (especially in your birthday suit)! Overall we had the best time! Thanks for your hospitality!" -- Arizona

Friendly Oasis in lively New Orleans! My tip is book directly with them for a better rate! I was at the Lion's Inn for an extended stay, and don't think I could have had a better time anywhere else. The B&B is well located not far from the French Quarter in the safe cosmopolitan Marigny area, and also only a few minutes walk from the French Market and the jazz clubs on Frenchman Street."

The place is relaxed and friendly, and Stuart and Floyd make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is sociable, and -- if you feel like it -- you can mingle with the other guests and locals and Bubba the dog at the daily wine and cheese get together in the lush garden, take a dip in the excellent pool or hot tub, and get involved in the intoxicating atmosphere of New Orleans. Or you can easily walk into the French Quarter and sightsee, shop, or try the many bars and restaurants.
Stuart and Floyd also own a restaurant and bar, Elizabeth's, [now under new ownership; but reccommended] a few blocks up, which was a great place to go and eat - they'll even give you a lift there!
Truly one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. Many thanks to the Lion's Inn and their hard working staff! I'll definately be back." -- A TripAdvisor Member, Hereford, UK

Relaxing at your own pace, poolside...I just got back from Lions Inn. I loved it ! The pool was amazing, like a lush oasis in New Orleans. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, it was like staying with friends. The free WiFi service was a nice perk. The location was ideal, not in the middle of noisy revellers of Bourbon yet a close walk to it.
The hot tub was awesome at night, being able to see the stars, nice after a night out on the town. I went down with a few friends who stayed at other places, and they were all jealous of me! I will definitely be staying there in the future." -- A TripAdvisor Member, New York City, NY

A truly amazing place. Spent a whole week here in March on my first trip to New Orleans. From the very first second I loved it. Floyd and Stuart were amazing hosts and I fell in love with Bubba (the dog). Room was stylish, clean and tidy thanks to the very hard working staff. Swimming pool was great, very useful on those warm sticky days. Breakfast was relaxed and I could drink as much Tea as I wanted. Overall an amazing place that I was very sad to leave. Highly highly recommended." -- Mar 24, 2006 A TripAdvisor Member, Cardiff, UK

We Had A Great Time! Floyd, Stuart and Bubba are the best innkeepers there could possibly be! We have never felt so at home during a vacation. We were there for Mardi Gras and it was so nice to sit around the pool in the morning sipping coffee, eating homemade bisquits, (to die for) and talking with them and other guests about their travels. The room was quite nice and clean. When we first arrived it was raining. We checked in and came back out to the pool area and were offered wine with cheese and crackers. Ahhhhh Bliss. I knew we had made the right choice. Finally, we highly recommend it. Michelle and Fred" -- A TripAdvisor Member, Flanders, NJ

Oasis Near The French Quarter! I had the good fortune of staying here last week and I never want to stay anywhere else when I visit New Orleans. A safe easy walking distance from The French Quarter. Floyd and Stuart make you feel right at home with their easy friendly style. Cousin Bobby has coffee ready in the morning after you have done your morning laps in the Garden of Eden-esq pool. We stayed in the Sun Room and was nicely furnished. There are several other rooms that are nicely decorated. A pool and Hot Tub for getting to know the other guests better. Could not have had a better time - and Stuart, thanks for the socks!! Tom R. and Scott G." -- A TripAdvisor Member, Philadelphia, PA

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lion's Inn during this years JazzFest. It just so happend to be my birthday during my stay here, and I was greeted with a special birthday breakfast muffin that had a birthday candle in it! That was just the beginning of the most amazing vacation of my life. The Lions Inn lets you experience New Orleans to the fullest. Not only is it within very safe walking distance of the French Quarter, it is located in a wonderful area called the Fauberg Marigny, which is a friendly, and active, creative community within New Orleans. It was a magical experience - the owners and visitors at the Lions Inn made this trip truly amazing. Please take a look at the photos I have posted of the wonderful dog Bubba, the beautiful foliage, and fish pond.
Thank you Lions Inn!" -- Poughkeepsie, NY

Stuart & Floyd run this inn so that the warmth of their welcome stays with you for months afterwards. The 10 rooms are all clean and made individual with antique furniture. The semi-tropical garden with its swimming pool, hot tub and breakfast patio is the centre of the community that the owners create. This is all done effortlessly so that many guests leave convinced that happiness is running a bed and breakfast. The location in the Marigny means you are in a quieter district than the French Quarter but a short walk and you are in the excitement that the centre of New Orleans has to offer. The room rates will make this a good value holiday as well." -- A TripAdvisor Member, London UK

If Paradise was lost it has now been found! Behind the gate of Lion's Inn, guests will find a lush tropical garden surrounding a giant swimming pool and jacuzzi. Typically Bubba will check out who is coming through the gate to make sure you "belong" there. He's quite a friendly dog, taking after his masters, Stuart and Floyd, the owners of the establishment. Their friendly smiles and graciousness give real meaning to the term "Southern hospitality". Always ready to have the morning coffee ready for the earliest of risers and the evening wine and cheese party is simply a delight; mixing with other guests, the hosts and some of their friends. Whether it be the "hubbub" of the French Quarter or a restful time around the swimming pool you are seeking, the proximity of Lion's Inn to the French Quarter, and the friendliness of the hosts should make this Inn a well sought-after "home away from home"." -- A TripAdvisor Member, Maple Valley, WA
